We are looking for an experienced and result-oriented Press Shop Supervisor to oversee day-to-day press shop operations, ensuring production targets, quality standards, safety compliance, and optimum machine utilization. The candidate should have hands-on experience in sheet metal press operations, die maintenance coordination, manpower management, and production planning.
Key ResponsibilitiesProduction Management
- Supervise daily operations of mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic press machines.
- Ensure achievement of production targets as per the production plan.
- Monitor machine productivity, cycle time, and overall equipment effectiveness (OEE).
- Coordinate with Planning and Production teams for smooth workflow.
- Minimize downtime and ensure maximum machine utilization.
Shop Floor Supervision
- Lead and manage press shop operators and helpers.
- Allocate manpower effectively across shifts.
- Monitor attendance, discipline, and workforce productivity.
- Conduct shift handovers and daily production meetings.
Quality Control
- Ensure products meet quality standards and customer specifications.
- Monitor first-off inspection and in-process quality checks.
- Coordinate with Quality team for corrective and preventive actions.
- Reduce rejection, rework, and scrap generation.
Die & Tool Management
- Coordinate with Tool Room for die maintenance and breakdown support.
- Ensure proper die setup, changeover, and alignment.
- Monitor die performance and report abnormalities.
Safety & Compliance
- Ensure strict adherence to safety standards and PPE usage.
- Conduct regular safety inspections and toolbox talks.
- Maintain compliance with company policies, 5S, and EHS guidelines.
- Report and investigate safety incidents and near misses.
Continuous Improvement
- Implement Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, and 5S initiatives.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and cost reduction.
- Drive productivity enhancement projects.
Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain daily production reports and machine utilization records.
- Track downtime, rejection, and efficiency data.
- Prepare shift-wise MIS reports and submit to management.
Desired Skills
- Strong knowledge of sheet metal press shop operations.
- Experience in mechanical, hydraulic, and power press machines.
- Understanding of press tools, dies, and sheet metal components.
- Knowledge of TPM, Lean Manufacturing, 5S, and Kaizen.
- Ability to manage manpower and production schedules.
- Good problem-solving and communication skills.
- Familiarity with quality systems and safety regulations.
Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
