Job description:
An Assistant Professor teaches courses, preparing and delivering lectures, and mentoring students in a Full-time capacity. Responsibilities also involve evaluating student work, collaborating with other faculty, and potentially contributing to curriculum development and research. Qualifications typically require a master's or doctoral degree and proven experience in teaching or a relevant professional field.
Responsibilities:
- Teaching and curriculum: Plan, prepare, and deliver lectures on existing or new German/French language courses. Assist in developing course structures and can be involved in curriculum review.
- Student guidance: Mentor students, provide academic and career advice, help them with weaknesses, and offer constructive feedback on their performance.
- Assessment: Define assessment methods, evaluate student coursework, and conduct examinations.
- Collaboration: Participate in faculty meetings, contribute to subject group meetings, and collaborate with colleagues on program development and responding to student needs.
- Professional development: Promote the institute's goals and objectives and may participate in faculty-organized training programs.
- Research: May be involved in collaborative investigations or new research projects.
Requirements:
- Education: A Master's degree in German/French Language. C1
- Experience: Proven experience as a faculty member or in a similar role in a reputable institution is often necessary.
- Skills: Strong communication, presentation, and public speaking skills are essential. Excellent analytical and decision-making skills are also valued.
