Position: Supervisor – Manual Operations

Job Summary
We are looking for a skilled and experienced Supervisor – Manual Operations to oversee and manage manual finishing and assembly activities in the production department. The candidate must have hands-on knowledge of deburring, tapping, cleaning, buffing, bush assembly, drilling, and engineering drawing reading. The role requires strong leadership skills to ensure quality, productivity, and adherence to production schedules.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and manage daily manual operations activities.
- Ensure proper execution of deburring, tapping, cleaning, buffing, bush assembly, and drilling processes.
- Interpret and explain engineering drawings to operators and technicians.
- Understand part criticality, key dimensions, tolerances, and quality requirements.
- Allocate work and monitor productivity of team members.
- Ensure components are processed as per drawing specifications and quality standards.
- Conduct in-process inspections and coordinate with the quality team.
- Maintain production records and daily reports.
- Train and guide operators on process requirements and best practices.
- Ensure workplace safety, discipline, and 5S standards are maintained.
- Coordinate with Production, Quality, and Planning departments to achieve production targets.
Required Skills & Knowledge
- Strong knowledge of Deburring, Tapping, Cleaning, Buffing, Bush Assembly, and Drilling operations.
- Mandatory ability to read and understand engineering drawings.
- Understanding of component criticality and quality requirements.
- Knowledge of measuring instruments such as Vernier Caliper, Micrometer, Height Gauge, etc.
- Good leadership, communication, and team management skills.
- Ability to work in Day and Night Shift schedules.
Qualification
- ITI / Diploma / Any Technical Qualification.
- Relevant experience in manufacturing, machining, or precision engineering industry.
Experience
- 3 to 8 years of experience in manual machining, finishing, assembly, or production supervision.
