- Design & Development: Create detailed 3D CAD models, 2D drawings, BOMs (Bill of Materials), and technical specifications for new products.
- Prototyping & Testing: Build, test, and validate prototypes, using data to iterate designs for improved functionality and performance.
- Feasibility & Risk Mitigation: Conduct Feasibility Studies and Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) to minimize risks before production.
- Project Management: Drive product development milestones, aligning with project managers to meet deadlines and budgetary targets.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with marketing, sales, supply chain, and manufacturing teams to ensure products meet customer needs and are manufacturable.
- Compliance & Standards: Ensure all designs comply with safety regulations, industry standards, and quality specifications.
- Process Improvement: Drive continuous improvement by analyzing field data and user feedback to enhance product reliability.
Key Skills Required
- Engineering Expertise: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or related engineering fields.
- Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in CAD tools (SolidWorks, AutoCAD) and simulation software.
- Manufacturing Knowledge: Understanding of manufacturing processes (e.g., molding, machining, casting) and material properties.
- Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving abilities, teamwork, project management skills, and communication skills.
