- Plan and deliver well-structured, child-centred Science lessons for Classes I–V.
- Follow the prescribed curriculum, school academic plan and lesson-planning guidelines.
- Use activity-based, inquiry-based and experiential learning approaches.
- Encourage students to observe, question, investigate, predict, experiment and draw conclusions.
- Relate scientific concepts to real-life situations and the students’ immediate environment.
- Use appropriate teaching-learning materials, models, experiments, demonstrations, videos and digital resources.
- Differentiate instruction according to students’ learning levels, abilities and needs.
- Promote scientific temper, environmental awareness and responsible citizenship.
- Conduct simple, safe and age-appropriate experiments and demonstrations.
- Maintain and appropriately use Science teaching resources and laboratory materials.
- Ensure safety protocols are followed during experiments and activities.
- Encourage students to participate in projects, nature studies, observations and Science-related activities.
- Integrate local environmental examples and hands-on experiences wherever appropriate.
- Conduct formative and summative assessments as per the school assessment plan.
- Prepare worksheets, question papers, quizzes, projects and other assessment tools.
- Maintain accurate records of students’ academic progress.
- Identify learning gaps and provide appropriate remedial support.
- Provide constructive feedback to students and communicate significant academic concerns to parents through the prescribed school channels.
- Maintain assessment records and submit them within the stipulated timelines.
- Maintain professional and respectful communication with parents.
- Attend parent-teacher meetings and provide meaningful feedback regarding students’ progress.
- Communicate students’ academic or behavioural concerns through the appropriate school channels.
- Maintain confidentiality regarding student information and school matters.
- Attend staff meetings, training programmes, workshops and professional-development sessions.
- Keep updated with contemporary primary Science pedagogy and competency-based education practices.
- Incorporate appropriate technology and digital learning resources into teaching.
- Reflect on teaching practices and continuously work towards improving learning outcomes.
- Follow all school policies, SOPs, academic procedures and administrative instructions.
Pay: ₹11,000.00 - ₹15,000.00 per month
