Job Summary
We are looking for a knowledgeable and enthusiastic Medical Coding Tutor to train students in medical coding concepts, coding guidelines, and industry practices. The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of medical terminology, ICD, CPT, and HCPCS coding and be able to explain concepts clearly to students.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct engaging classroom and online training sessions on Medical Coding.
- Teach Medical Terminology, Anatomy & Physiology, ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS.
- Explain coding guidelines, conventions, and real-world coding scenarios.
- Provide practical coding exercises, case studies, and assessments.
- Prepare students for medical coding certification exams such as CPC.
- Monitor student performance and provide individual feedback.
- Resolve students' doubts and support them throughout the training program.
- Maintain training materials, assignments, assessments, and student records.
- Keep updated with changes in medical coding guidelines and industry standards.
- Support students in developing job-ready medical coding skills.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences, Allied Health, Nursing, Pharmacy, or a related field preferred.
- Certification such as CPC, CCS, or equivalent is an added advantage.
- Strong knowledge of ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS coding.
- Good understanding of Anatomy, Physiology, and Medical Terminology.
- Previous experience in medical coding, medical billing, or healthcare training preferred.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Passion for teaching and mentoring students.
- Freshers with relevant certification and strong subject knowledge may also be considered.
