We are looking for a meticulous and passionate Academic Quality Control Specialist to ensure that our academic content consistently meets high standards of quality, accuracy, pedagogical effectiveness, and learner engagement.
The role will involve reviewing and validating curriculum content, lesson plans, assessments, teacher guides, presentations, and other learning resources. The ideal candidate should have a strong academic mindset, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to critically evaluate both educational and technical content.
You will work closely with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), Curriculum Developers, Instructional Designers, and LMS teams to identify gaps, ensure consistency, and maintain quality across our K-12 STEM, Makerspace, and skill education programs.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and quality-check curriculum content, lesson plans, assessments, teacher guides, presentation decks, and learning resources before release.
- Ensure content is aligned with defined learning outcomes, pedagogical standards, curriculum objectives, and grade-level requirements.
- Verify the technical and conceptual accuracy of content across STEM, Makerspace, and skill education modules.
- Evaluate content for clarity, consistency, age appropriateness, instructional effectiveness, and learner engagement.
- Identify content gaps, inconsistencies, errors, and areas for improvement, and provide actionable feedback to relevant teams.
- Collaborate with SMEs, Curriculum Developers, Instructional Designers, and LMS teams to resolve quality issues and incorporate revisions.
- Review revised content to ensure that feedback and corrections have been appropriately implemented.
- Maintain quality checklists, review trackers, version histories, and documentation for academic content.
- Ensure consistency in terminology, formatting, instructional approach, assessments, and learning resources across programs.
- Conduct final pre-release quality checks before content is deployed for implementation.
- Support the continuous improvement of academic content and quality standards based on feedback and identified issues.
- Maintain a high level of attention to detail while working across multiple content projects and timelines.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Education, Engineering, Science, Technology, or a related field.
- Prior experience in Curriculum Development, Instructional Design, Academic Quality Assurance, Content Review, or a similar academic/content role.
- Strong understanding of educational content and the ability to assess whether content is appropriate for the intended learner age and grade level.
- Strong analytical, proofreading, documentation, and communication skills.
- Excellent attention to detail with the ability to identify both minor errors and broader content gaps.
- Ability to provide clear, constructive, and actionable feedback to content and academic teams.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple content reviews simultaneously.
