Flometriq Filtration is a five-decade-old engineering and manufacturing company specializing in Industrial Strainers, Filtration Systems, Sight Glasses, Orifice Plates, and Flow Equipment supplied to major Oil & Gas, Power, Water, Chemical, and Process Industries across India and the Middle East.
We are looking for an experienced and highly organized Purchase Manager to strengthen our procurement operations and support our expanding manufacturing activities.
Key Responsibilities
Handle end-to-end procurement activities for raw materials, fabrication items, machining components, valves, pipes, fittings, flanges, fasteners, electricals, and bought-out items.
Develop and maintain a strong vendor network across India and overseas markets.
Negotiate pricing, payment terms, delivery schedules, and annual rate contracts with suppliers.
Source materials as per technical specifications, BOMs, drawings, and project requirements.
Coordinate closely with Production, Planning, QA/QC, Design, and Stores departments.
Ensure timely procurement to meet project delivery schedules.
Monitor vendor performance, quality issues, delays, and corrective actions.
Maintain procurement MIS reports, cost-saving reports, and supplier evaluations.
Ensure compliance with ISO procedures and internal documentation systems.
Identify alternative vendors and cost optimization opportunities.
Handle purchase planning for multiple ongoing projects simultaneously.
Track inventory levels and avoid shortages or excess stock.
Manage subcontracting and fabrication vendor coordination when required.
Preferred Candidate Profile
Bachelor’s Degree / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
5–12 years of experience in Purchase/Procurement within industrial manufacturing companies.
Prior experience in fabrication, pressure parts, piping, strainers, valves, or process equipment industries is highly preferred.
Strong technical understanding of:
Pipes, Fittings & Flanges
Stainless Steel & Duplex Materials
Fabrication Raw Materials
Machining Components
ASME / ASTM Material Standards
Excellent negotiation and vendor management skills.
Good knowledge of ERP systems, Excel, and procurement documentation.
Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple project priorities.
