About the Role
Newton School of Technology (NST) works closely with fast-growing companies across AI, Robotics, EV, SaaS, and Deep Tech to build internship and placement pipelines for engineering talent.
We are looking for a high-calibre BD / Sales professional to own strategic relationships with founders, CTOs, HR leaders, and engineering managers, and convert them into long-term hiring partnerships.
This is a consultative B2B role with end-to-end ownership.
Responsibilities :
- Identify, engage, and manage relationships with Unicorns, Soonicorns, Series C and above startups and enterprises to create placement and internship opportunities for NST students.
- Manage end-to-end relationships with key recruiters - from outreach, MoU signing and onboarding to interview process management and post-hire feedback.
- Proactively generate leads, qualify prospects, and convert them into strategic partnerships and placement opportunities.
- Negotiate terms, draft agreements, and finalize contracts to ensure alignment and mutual success.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with startup founders, executives, and decision-makers.
- Stay updated on industry trends, competitor activities, and market developments to identify opportunities.
- Work closely with academic teams to align student capabilities with evolving industry skill requirements.
- Maintain accurate databases, placement dashboards, and progress reports for visibility
- Plan and execute campus recruitment drives, job fairs, industry talks, and hackathons to strengthen hiring pipelines.
Key Skills:
- 3 - 8 years of business development experience in placements, corporate relations, or recruitment in higher education, EdTech, or hiring and staffing agencies.
- Proven ability to Hunt large accounts and deliver on placement targets.
- Strong corporate network across technology companies - Unicorns, Soonicorns, Series C and above startups and enterprises
- Deep understanding of the startup ecosystem, technology trends and current hiring practices.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to build trust and credibility.
- Strong analytical skills to develop innovative partnership strategies.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, adept at negotiation.
- Proficiency in MS Office / CRM tools and familiarity with placement management platforms.

Pay: Up to ₹1,800,000.00 per year
