About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and result-oriented Shift In-Charge to oversee the smooth operation and maintenance activities during assigned shifts at our project site in Mouda, Maharashtra. The ideal candidate should possess strong technical knowledge, leadership abilities, and hands-on experience in industrial operations, ensuring safe, efficient, and uninterrupted plant performance.
The Shift In-Charge will be responsible for supervising manpower, monitoring plant operations, coordinating maintenance activities, ensuring statutory compliance, and maintaining operational excellence throughout the shift.
Key ResponsibilitiesPlant Operations
- Supervise and monitor all plant operations during the assigned shift.
- Ensure safe, reliable, and uninterrupted operation of plant equipment.
- Monitor operational parameters and take corrective actions whenever required.
- Ensure compliance with standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Shift Management
- Lead and supervise shift engineers, operators, technicians, and contract manpower.
- Allocate work responsibilities and monitor workforce productivity.
- Conduct shift handover and takeover with proper documentation.
- Maintain shift logbooks and operational records.
Maintenance Coordination
- Coordinate with the maintenance team for preventive and breakdown maintenance.
- Ensure timely reporting and resolution of equipment abnormalities.
- Monitor equipment health and recommend corrective actions.
- Assist in shutdown planning and execution.
Safety & Compliance
- Ensure strict adherence to safety regulations, work permit systems, and statutory requirements.
- Conduct toolbox talks and safety briefings before commencing work.
- Ensure proper use of PPE and safe work practices.
- Report and investigate operational incidents or near-miss events.
Documentation & Reporting
- Prepare Daily Shift Reports and operational MIS.
- Maintain shift logbooks and equipment records.
- Report plant performance, downtime, and maintenance activities.
- Ensure accurate documentation of operational data.
Team Leadership
- Motivate and guide the operations team to achieve shift objectives.
- Monitor employee attendance, discipline, and performance.
- Provide on-the-job training and technical guidance to operators and technicians.
- Ensure effective communication between outgoing and incoming shifts.
Client Coordination
- Coordinate with client representatives regarding operational activities.
- Attend operational review meetings whenever required.
- Ensure timely closure of client observations and operational issues.
Continuous Improvement
- Identify opportunities to improve plant efficiency and reliability.
- Recommend process improvements and cost-saving initiatives.
- Participate in audits and continuous improvement programs.
Educational Qualification
- Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, or Chemical Engineering.
Experience Required
- 5–8 years of experience in Operations & Maintenance.
- Experience in Thermal Power Plants, Captive Power Plants, Industrial Utilities, Process Plants, or Heavy Engineering Projects.
- Prior experience as Shift In-Charge, Shift Engineer, Operations Engineer, or Plant Supervisor will be preferred.

Preferred Candidate
- Experience in Power Plant Operations & Maintenance is highly preferred.
- Knowledge of boilers, turbines, pumps, compressors, cooling water systems, and auxiliary equipment.
- Immediate joiners will be preferred.
- Candidates willing to relocate to Mouda, Maharashtra.
