Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Senior Engineer – Façade Detailing to lead façade detailing activities, review technical drawings, and support project delivery. The candidate should have strong knowledge of façade systems, excellent AutoCAD skills, and the ability to guide teams and coordinate with project stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the preparation and review of façade shop drawings for:
- Curtain Wall Systems (Stick & Unitized)
- Storefront Systems
- Aluminum Doors & Windows
- Glass Railings and Balustrades
- Glazing and Cladding Systems
- Prepare fabrication and installation drawings as per project requirements.
- Review architectural and structural drawings for accurate detailing.
- Identify and resolve technical issues related to façade design and installation.
- Coordinate with project managers, architects, consultants, and internal teams.
- Provide technical guidance and support to engineers and junior team members.
- Manage RFIs, drawing revisions, and technical documentation.
- Ensure drawings meet project specifications, quality standards, and deadlines.
- Support design optimization and fabrication feasibility reviews.
- Assist in task planning and team coordination.
Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Architecture, or Structural Engineering.
- Minimum 6 years of experience in façade detailing.
- Strong AutoCAD skills with experience in shop drawing preparation.
- Good understanding of façade systems, components, and installation methods.
- Ability to read and interpret architectural, structural, and fabrication drawings.
- Experience in detailing curtain walls, storefronts, doors, windows, glass railings, glazing, and cladding systems.
- Strong communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage teams and work independently.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with international façade projects.
- Knowledge of façade materials, profiles, hardware, glass specifications, and fabrication processes.
- Experience with BIM tools such as Revit and Autodesk Inventor is an added advantage.
