Qualification:
A master’s degree in library science/ information science from a recognised University and a consistently good academic record.
Expertise in classification and cataloguing of library materials (print digital) and use of various IT tools for library applications.
Job Description:
The selected candidate's responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
1. Collection Development Technical Services - which includes various procedures involved in acquisition of different materials, classification and processing, cataloguing and creating metadata
2. Information Access Services - that include circulation, reference services, access to digital resources, assisting with research-related tasks and library website-related activities
3. Record Maintenance - Completing administrative work such as filing paperwork and updating library records,Conduct regular checks and updates on inventory and database information
4. ICT skills - Knowledge of library management software especially KOHA and proficiency in using computer applications such as Word, Excel along with AI tools.
