Job Summary
The Urology Technician assists urologists and nursing staff in providing diagnostic, therapeutic, and procedural care to patients with urological conditions. The role involves preparing patients for procedures, operating and maintaining urology equipment, assisting during procedures, and ensuring high standards of patient care and safety.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist urologists during diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
- Prepare patients for urological examinations and procedures.
- Operate and maintain urology-related equipment and instruments.
- Assist in procedures such as cystoscopy, uroflowmetry, urodynamic studies, catheterization, and minor surgical interventions.
- Ensure proper sterilization and disinfection of instruments and equipment.
- Monitor patients before, during, and after procedures and report any abnormalities.
- Maintain accurate patient records and procedure documentation.
- Coordinate with doctors, nurses, and other healthcare professionals for seamless patient care.
- Ensure compliance with infection control, safety, and hospital protocols.
- Manage inventory and ensure adequate availability of consumables and equipment.
- Educate patients regarding pre- and post-procedure care as directed by the physician.
Required Qualifications
- Diploma/Bachelor's Degree in Medical Technology, Allied Health Sciences, Operation Theatre Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a hospital urology department.
- Knowledge of urology procedures, equipment, and patient care protocols.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred.

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
