About the Role
We are looking for a highly experienced and creative InDesign Designer for our publishing projects. The candidate should have strong expertise in Adobe InDesign and experience working on books, publishing layouts, print-ready files, and editorial designs.
This is a project-based freelance role suitable for professionals who can independently manage design assignments and deliver high-quality publishing work within deadlines.
Key Responsibilities
· Design and format books, magazines, workbooks, catalogs, and publishing materials using Adobe InDesign
· Create clean, professional, and print-ready layouts
· Maintain consistency in typography, spacing, styles, and overall visual presentation
· Work closely with the content and publishing team
· Handle corrections, revisions, and final production files
· Ensure designs meet publishing and printing standards
· Manage multiple projects and meet timelines efficiently
Required Skills
· Strong expertise in Adobe InDesign
· Good knowledge of typography, page layout, grids, and print production
· Experience in publishing industry projects
· Ability to prepare print-ready PDFs and source files
· Basic knowledge of Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator is an added advantage
· Attention to detail and strong creative sense
Requirements
· Minimum 8 years of professional experience
· Must be comfortable working as a freelancer / project-based designer
· Strong portfolio in publishing and editorial design
· Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
· Good communication and coordination skills
· Ability to deliver projects on time
Preferred Experience
Candidates with prior experience in book publishing, educational publications, Student books, magazine or editorial layouts will be preferred.
Compensation
Payment will be discussed based on project scope, experience, and deliverables.
Pay: ₹500.00 - ₹1,000.00 per hour
