About ResQBag
ResQBag is a food-tech startup on a mission to fight food waste at its root — by connecting surplus food from restaurants and vendors directly to consumers who need or want it. We believe good food shouldn't go to landfills when it can go to plates. As we prepare to scale and launch in new markets, we're building a brand that people recognize, trust, and root for — and we're looking for someone who can help us tell that story.
About the Role
We're looking for a Marketing & Branding Intern to help shape and grow ResQBag's brand identity from the ground up. This role sits at the intersection of storytelling and strategy — you'll craft campaigns that communicate our brand mission, support our upcoming brand launch, and build a consistent, recognizable identity across every channel we show up on. You'll think like a marketing strategist, not just an executor: identifying new audiences, testing new channels, and finding creative ways to diversify ResQBag's reach. This is a high-ownership role for someone who wants real startup experience and the chance to see their ideas go live.
Key Responsibilities
- Draft and design marketing and branding campaigns centered on ResQBag's brand mission and upcoming brand launch
- Develop strategies to attract and engage new audience segments across digital and offline channels
- Maintain brand consistency across all touchpoints — social media, website, communications, and campaign assets
- Act as a marketing strategist to identify and test new channels and approaches for diversifying ResQBag's reach
- Plan and execute content calendars aligned with brand voice, mission, and campaign goals
- Monitor campaign performance and audience engagement, and recommend data-informed adjustments
- Collaborate directly with founders to align marketing initiatives with overall business and growth goals
- Research market trends, competitor positioning, and audience insights to inform brand strategy
- Support the creation of brand guidelines to ensure consistent tone, visuals, and messaging over time
Required Qualifications
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Marketing, Business, Mass Communication, or a related field
- Prior coursework, project work, or hands-on experience in marketing, branding, or content strategy (internship or academic)
Required Skills & Competencies
- Strong understanding of branding fundamentals and campaign strategy
- Excellent written communication and storytelling ability
- Familiarity with social media platforms and digital marketing basics
- Strategic thinking — able to identify new audiences and growth channels, not just execute tasks
- Self-driven and comfortable working independently in a remote, fast-moving startup environment
- Basic design sensibility or familiarity with tools like Canva (preferred, not mandatory)
- Strong sense of ownership and attention to brand consistency
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience with a startup or founder-led team
- Exposure to brand launches or go-to-market campaigns
- Familiarity with analytics tools to track campaign performance
Compensation & Work Details
- Incentives: Performance-based incentives tied to campaign impact and deliverables
- Work Location: Remote
- Reporting Structure: Reports directly to the Founders
