Job Overview
Planet Escapes, a luxury travel startup, is looking for a motivated and skilled Web Developer to join our team in Shela. You will be responsible for the end-to-end development and maintenance of our digital presence, ensuring our luxury package holiday offerings are presented through a high-performance, visually stunning, and mobile-responsive website.As we scale, you will play a critical role in integrating our cloud-based CRM and automating our booking workflows to provide a seamless experience for our high-net-worth clientele.
Core Responsibilities
- Web Development & Maintenance: Design, develop, and maintain a responsive, high-speed website for Planet Escapes using clean, maintainable code.
- CRM & API Integration: Seamlessly integrate our cloud-based CRM to store and manage customer data securely. Implement third-party travel APIs for real-time inventory and pricing.
- UI/UX Implementation: Collaborate on creating attractive website layouts and user interfaces that reflect our luxury brand identity.
- Performance Optimization: Optimize the website for maximum speed, scalability, and mobile responsiveness.
- Automation: Develop and manage automated booking confirmations, confirmation emails, and SMS alerts.
- Troubleshooting: Regularly audit the site for bugs and performance issues, ensuring zero downtime for our global luxury travellers.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Technical Stack: Proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, PHP, MySQL and JavaScript is mandatory. Experience with modern frameworks like React or PHP is highly preferred for building dynamic travel components.
- CRM Knowledge: Familiarity with cloud-based CRM systems and how to synchronize data between local and remote databases.
- Tooling: Experience with version control systems like Git/GitHub.
- Experience: 1–4 years of proven experience in web programming or a similar role.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.
- Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving abilities and the capacity to work independently in a fast-paced startup environment.
