Job Summary
A Security Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the security team, ensuring the safety and security of people, property, and assets. The role includes supervising security personnel, enforcing security procedures, responding to incidents, and maintaining a safe working environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of security guards.
- Prepare duty rosters and manage shift schedules.
- Monitor CCTV systems, alarms, and access control systems.
- Conduct regular patrols and security inspections.
- Ensure compliance with company security policies and procedures.
- Respond promptly to emergencies, incidents, and security breaches.
- Investigate incidents, prepare reports, and recommend corrective actions.
- Train, mentor, and evaluate security staff.
- Coordinate with law enforcement, emergency services, and management when required.
- Maintain visitor management and access control records.
- Conduct risk assessments and identify potential security threats.
- Ensure all security equipment is operational and report maintenance issues.
- Enforce health, safety, and fire safety regulations.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (Bachelor's degree is an advantage).
- Previous experience in security, with at least 2–5 years in a supervisory role.
- Valid security license or certification (as required by local regulations).
- Knowledge of CCTV, access control systems, and emergency response procedures.
- Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
