Qualifications & Experience
● Mechanical / Production / Electrical - Diploma / Graduate Engineer. NOTE: Should have done Engineering directly after HSC and not via the Diploma route. ● Should have done a post degree course in Materials management or Supply Chain management. ● Must have a good command over the spoken Marathi, Hindi and English language. ● Should be well organized and have an ingrained systematic working style and approach and have a liking to manufacturing processes
Duties and responsibilities
● Responsible for the Cost, Quality and Delivery of the item Purchased (Control, Innovate, monitor, plan, timely). ● Represent the company in negotiating contracts and formulating policies with suppliers. ● Locate vendors of materials, equipment or supplies, and interview them to determine
product availability and terms of sales. ● Handle purchase requests - purchasing of materials
● Arrange quotations from the vendors
● Prepare and process indents and purchase orders in ERP for supplies and equipment
and ensure the supplies are available within stipulated time
● Maintain documentation as required. ● Prepare purchase orders and send copies to suppliers and to necessary departments
and make entry in the purchase tracking system. ● Determine if inventory quantities are sufficient for needs, ordering more materials
when necessary. ● Respond to customer and supplier inquiries about order status, changes, or
cancellations. ● Review indents / requisition orders in order to verify accuracy, terminology, and
specifications. ● Compare prices, specifications, and delivery dates in order to determine the best bid
among potential suppliers. ● Track the status of requisitions, contracts, and orders. ● Calculate costs of orders, and charge or forward invoices to appropriate accounts. ● Coordination with cross functional members. ● To innovate and improve performances. ● Improve sectional housekeeping and thus overall companies housekeeping. ● Responsible for the cost, quality and delivery of his output. ● Participate into continuous improvement/Kaizen. ● Should have experience in imports & related documentation and dealing with CHA.
Minimum 5 years experience in Purchase Techno-commercial operations in the
engineering industry.
Pay: ₹45,000.00 - ₹55,000.00 per month
