Job Description – Commi I / DCDP (Indian Cuisine)
Job Summary:
The Commi I / DCDP – Indian Cuisine is responsible for supporting the kitchen team in the preparation and production of authentic Indian dishes. The role requires maintaining food quality standards, assisting in daily kitchen operations, and ensuring compliance with hygiene and safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook Indian food items as per established recipes and quality standards.
- Assist senior chefs in daily mise en place, food preparation, and service operations.
- Ensure consistency in taste, presentation, and portion control of all dishes.
- Prepare and handle ingredients, spices, gravies, marinades, and other kitchen essentials.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area, equipment, and storage spaces.
- Follow food safety, sanitation, and hygiene guidelines at all times.
- Monitor stock levels and inform supervisors about ingredient requirements or shortages.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth and efficient operations during service.
- Learn and apply various regional Indian cooking techniques and recipes.
- Perform additional duties assigned by the CDP, Sous Chef, or Executive Chef.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Experience working in an Indian kitchen or knowledge of Indian cuisine.
- Understanding of Indian spices, ingredients, and cooking methods.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of food hygiene and kitchen safety standards.
- Good teamwork, communication, and time-management skills.
- Passion for culinary learning and professional growth.
Working Conditions:
- Ability to work in a high-temperature kitchen environment.
- Flexible to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays as required.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹23,000.00 per month
