The Operating Theatre Nurse is responsible for providing safe and effective nursing care to patients undergoing surgical procedures. This includes pre-operative assessment, preparation of the patient and the operating theatre, assisting the surgeon during the procedure, and post-operative care.
The Operating Theatre Nurse must be knowledgeable in aseptic technique, infection control, and the use of specialized equipment. They must also be able to work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible outcome for the patient.
