Music Teacher

Job Purpose
To inspire and educate students in the art of music by developing their vocal and instrumental skills, fostering creativity, and encouraging an appreciation of music through engaging classroom instruction and extracurricular activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, prepare, and deliver music lessons appropriate to students' age and ability.
- Teach vocal music, instrumental music, music theory, rhythm, and appreciation of different musical styles.
- Organize and conduct choir, school band, and other music groups as required.
- Prepare students for school functions, cultural events, competitions, concerts, and annual celebrations.
- Assess students' progress through performances, practical activities, and classroom participation.
- Maintain attendance records, lesson plans, and student performance reports.
- Encourage creativity, confidence, teamwork, and discipline through music education.
- Identify and nurture talented students by providing additional guidance and opportunities.
- Ensure the proper use, maintenance, and safe storage of musical instruments and equipment.
- Collaborate with teachers and school administration to integrate music into school events and educational programs.
- Promote a positive, inclusive, and supportive learning environment.
- Stay updated with current teaching methods, music education practices, and curriculum requirements.
- Participate in staff meetings, professional development programs, and other school activities.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Music, Performing Arts, or a related field.
- B.Ed. or equivalent teaching qualification (preferred or as per school/government norms).
- Certification or formal training in vocal and/or instrumental music is desirable.
Skills and Competencies
- Strong vocal and/or instrumental music skills.
- Excellent classroom management and communication abilities.
- Knowledge of music theory and performance techniques.
- Ability to motivate and engage students of different age groups.
- Creativity, patience, and enthusiasm for teaching.
- Good organizational and event management skills.
- Proficiency in using audio-visual and digital teaching tools is an advantage.
Experience
- Previous teaching experience in a school is preferred.
- Experience in organizing cultural programs, choirs, orchestras, or music competitions is desirable.
Working Conditions
- Full-time position as per school timings.
- Participation in school functions, rehearsals, competitions, and special events may require additional hours.

Pay: ₹9,000.00 - ₹12,000.00 per month
