About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Production Supervisor to manage day-to-day production operations at our corrugated packaging manufacturing plant. The person will be responsible for production planning, manpower management, machine utilization, quality control, and timely dispatch of orders.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and supervise daily production as per customer orders and dispatch schedules.
- Allocate manpower across machines and ensure optimum utilization of labour.
- Monitor production on corrugation, pasting, printing, die-cutting, slotting, stitching and other processes.
- Ensure production targets are achieved within the required time and quality standards.
- Coordinate with the Sales, Stores, Purchase and Dispatch teams for smooth order execution.
- Monitor machine performance, downtime, changeover time and production efficiency.
- Identify bottlenecks and take corrective action to minimize production delays.
- Ensure proper handling and utilization of paper and other raw materials to minimize wastage.
- Maintain discipline and productivity of workers and contract labour.
- Conduct regular quality checks and ensure boxes meet customer specifications.
- Identify and address issues related to board strength, pasting, printing, dimensions, finishing and other quality parameters.
- Ensure proper production records and reports are maintained.
- Monitor work-in-progress and ensure orders move smoothly through each production stage.
- Ensure proper housekeeping, safety practices and 5S standards on the shop floor.
- Train and guide operators and workers on proper machine operation and work practices.
- Coordinate with maintenance personnel to ensure machines remain operational.
- Report daily production, rejection, wastage, downtime and manpower status to management.
- Take responsibility for achieving production and quality targets.
Candidate Requirements
- Strong practical knowledge of corrugation and downstream box-making processes.
- Experience in handling production workers and contract labour.
- Good understanding of production planning, quality control and wastage reduction.
- Ability to manage multiple production orders simultaneously.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Should be disciplined, responsible and capable of independently handling the shop floor.
- Basic knowledge of production reporting and Excel will be an advantage.

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
