We are seeking a highly organized and responsible House Manager to oversee the complete day-to-day operations of the residence. The individual will be responsible for managing household staff, supervising maintenance and vendor activities, handling household expenses, and ensuring smooth functioning of all domestic operations with high standards of discipline, hygiene, and confidentiality.
The ideal candidate should have prior experience managing large households and handling a team of at least 20 staff members.
Key ResponsibilitiesHousehold Operations Management
- Oversee complete household operations and ensure smooth daily functioning of the residence.
- Manage and supervise domestic staff including housekeeping, cooks, drivers, security personnel, helpers, and maintenance teams.
- Prepare staff rosters, allocate duties, monitor attendance, and maintain operational discipline.
Staff Management
- Handle a team of minimum 20 household/support staff members.
- Ensure proper grooming, behavior, punctuality, and service standards across the team.
- Conduct regular briefings and coordinate task execution efficiently.
Expense & Inventory Management
- Manage complete household expenses including utility bills, vendor payments, grocery purchases, maintenance expenses, and miscellaneous household requirements.
- Maintain records of monthly expenditures and submit expense reports as required.
- Monitor inventory of groceries, household supplies, and consumables to ensure uninterrupted availability.
Vendor & Maintenance Coordination
- Coordinate with external vendors, electricians, plumbers, carpenters, maintenance agencies, and service providers.
- Ensure timely servicing and upkeep of household equipment, appliances, and infrastructure.
- Negotiate and manage vendor relationships effectively.
Procurement & Grocery Management
- Plan and manage procurement of groceries, household essentials, and other supplies.
- Ensure quality checks and cost-effective purchasing.
- Maintain stock levels and avoid shortages/excess inventory.
Guest & Event Coordination
- Coordinate arrangements for guests, family events, meetings, and gatherings within the residence.
- Ensure hospitality standards and smooth execution of all arrangements.
Compliance & Confidentiality
- Maintain complete confidentiality regarding household matters and family information.
- Ensure adherence to hygiene, safety, and security protocols at all times.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Graduate in any discipline preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a House Manager / Estate Manager / Hospitality Operations Manager.
- Must have experience handling a team of at least 20 people.
- Strong administrative, coordination, and people management skills.
- Good understanding of household operations, budgeting, and vendor management.
- Ability to multitask and manage high-pressure situations efficiently.
- Professional communication and interpersonal skills.
- High level of integrity, discretion, and accountability.
