Job Summary
NeoTokyo Kochi is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to manage the company's financial records, taxation compliance, purchase documentation, and reporting requirements. The ideal candidate must have strong knowledge of Indian taxation laws, GST compliance, TDS regulations, and accounting practices while ensuring accurate financial reporting and record management.
Key ResponsibilitiesAccounting & Financial Management
- Maintain day-to-day accounting transactions and bookkeeping.
- Manage expense registers and company billing records.
- Record and reconcile all financial transactions accurately.
- Monitor accounts payable and receivable.
- Prepare and maintain financial statements and ledgers.
GST & Tax Compliance
- File GST returns accurately and within statutory deadlines.
- Perform GST reconciliation and tax compliance checks.
- Ensure compliance with Indian taxation and financial regulations.
- Maintain GST-related documentation and audit records.
TDS & Statutory Compliance
- Calculate, deduct, deposit, and file TDS returns.
- Maintain records of all TDS transactions and certificates.
- Ensure timely compliance with all statutory requirements.
Purchase & Inventory Accounting
- Record and maintain Purchase Orders (POs).
- Manage inward stock entries and inventory accounting records.
- Handle IRN generation, filing, and invoice compliance.
- Verify vendor invoices against purchase orders and stock receipts.
Reporting & Analysis
- Prepare Weekly Financial Reports.
- Prepare Monthly Management Reports.
- Track expenses, revenue, tax liabilities, and outstanding payments.
- Provide management with financial insights and recommendations.
Reconciliation & Audits
- Reconcile bank accounts, GST records, vendor accounts, and customer accounts.
- Assist during internal and external audits.
- Ensure accuracy and completeness of all financial records.
RequirementsEducation
- Bachelor's Degree in Commerce (B.Com), Finance, Accounting, or related field.
- CA Inter / CMA qualification is an added advantage.
Experience
- Minimum 2–5 years of experience in Accounting and Taxation.
- Experience handling GST, TDS, and statutory compliance independently.
Technical Skills
- Strong knowledge of Indian Finance Laws and Taxation.
- Expertise in GST Filing & Reconciliation.
- Knowledge of TDS regulations and compliance.
- Experience with Tally, Zoho Books, Busy, or similar accounting software.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
