Position: Shuttering Foreman

Reporting To: Site Engineer / Project Manager
Job Purpose
To supervise and manage shuttering/formwork activities at the residential project site, ensuring proper execution as per approved drawings, specifications, quality standards, and project schedules.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise day-to-day shuttering/formwork activities at the project site.
- Execute shuttering for columns, beams, slabs, walls, staircases, lift cores, and other RCC structures.
- Read and understand structural drawings, shuttering/formwork drawings, and site instructions.
- Ensure proper alignment, level, dimensions, plumb, and stability of shuttering before concrete pouring.
- Plan and allocate manpower for shuttering activities as per daily and weekly targets.
- Coordinate with Site Engineers, Civil Engineers, Bar Benders, Masons, and other site teams.
- Ensure proper installation, supporting, bracing, staging, and scaffolding of formwork.
- Check shuttering material availability and ensure optimum utilization of materials.
- Ensure proper cleaning, oiling, and maintenance of shuttering materials before reuse.
- Minimize material wastage and monitor reuse of shuttering materials.
- Ensure that shuttering is completed and ready for inspection before reinforcement and concreting activities.
- Coordinate with the engineering and quality teams for pre-pour inspections and rectification of observations.
- Dismantle shuttering safely after achieving the required concrete strength and as per site instructions.
- Ensure proper stacking and housekeeping of shuttering materials at the site.
- Follow all safety procedures while carrying out shuttering, scaffolding, working-at-height, and dismantling activities.
- Ensure workers use appropriate PPE and follow site safety instructions.
- Maintain daily manpower and work progress records and report issues to the Site Engineer / Project Manager.
- Achieve planned productivity and daily/weekly shuttering targets within the project schedule.
- Train and guide shuttering carpenters and helpers to ensure quality and productivity.
Required Skills & Competencies
- Good knowledge of RCC shuttering and formwork practices.
- Ability to understand structural/formwork drawings.
- Knowledge of conventional shuttering, modular/film-faced shuttering and other formwork systems used in residential projects.
- Good manpower handling and supervision skills.
- Knowledge of shuttering material estimation and utilization.
- Strong understanding of line, level, plumb, dimensions, and formwork stability.
- Good coordination and communication skills.
- Strong focus on safety, quality, and productivity.
- Ability to work under project deadlines.
Qualification & Experience
- Qualification: ITI / Diploma in Civil Engineering preferred; experienced candidates without formal qualification may also be considered.
- Experience: 4–20 years of relevant experience in shuttering/formwork, preferably in high-rise residential building projects.
- Candidates with experience in high-rise residential construction, towers, basements, podiums, and RCC frame structures will be preferred.

Preferred Candidate: Candidates with strong hands-on experience in residential high-rise projects and the ability to independently manage shuttering carpenters and site activities.
Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
