Job Summary
NB Entrepreneurs is seeking a dedicated and technically competent Utility Incharge to oversee the operation, maintenance, and optimization of all plant utility systems. The role is responsible for ensuring uninterrupted utility services, maintaining equipment reliability, complying with safety and environmental regulations, and supporting production through efficient utility management.
Key ResponsibilitiesUtility Operations
- Ensure continuous and efficient operation of all plant utilities, including:
- Electrical distribution systems
- DG sets
- Air compressors
- Boilers/Thermic Fluid Heaters (if applicable)
- Chillers and cooling towers
- HVAC systems
- Water treatment plant (WTP)
- Effluent Treatment Plant (ETP) / Sewage Treatment Plant (STP), where applicable
- Pumps, pipelines, and utility distribution networks
- Monitor utility consumption and optimize energy usage.
- Maintain utility availability to support uninterrupted production.
Maintenance Management
- Develop and execute preventive and predictive maintenance schedules.
- Coordinate corrective maintenance activities to minimize downtime.
- Ensure timely breakdown response and root cause analysis.
- Maintain critical spare parts inventory and coordinate procurement.
Energy & Cost Management
- Monitor electricity, fuel, water, and compressed air consumption.
- Identify and implement energy-saving initiatives.
- Prepare monthly utility performance and cost reports.
- Drive continuous improvement projects for utility efficiency.
Safety & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with statutory regulations related to utilities.
- Enforce electrical and mechanical safety procedures.
- Conduct safety inspections and risk assessments.
- Ensure all utility equipment meets applicable standards and certifications.
Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain equipment history cards and maintenance records.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly utility reports.
- Maintain calibration and inspection records.
- Support internal and external audits.
Team Management
- Supervise utility technicians, operators, and contractors.
- Allocate work and monitor team performance.
- Provide technical guidance and on-the-job training.
- Foster a culture of safety, discipline, and continuous improvement.
Vendor & Contractor Coordination
- Coordinate with OEMs and service providers.
- Evaluate contractor performance.
- Verify service quality and maintenance activities.
- Support annual maintenance contracts (AMCs) and vendor negotiations.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related discipline.
- Additional certifications in Utility Management, Energy Management, Boiler Operations, or Electrical Safety are preferred.
Experience
- 3 - 5 years of experience in utility operations and maintenance in manufacturing, food processing, FMCG, pharmaceutical, chemical, or engineering industries.
- Experience in managing multidisciplinary utility systems is preferred.

Pay: ₹45,000.00 - ₹60,000.00 per month
