Job Summary
We are looking for a Costing Engineer with experience in sheet metal manufacturing to prepare accurate product and process costing. The candidate will review drawings, prepare BOM and process costing, estimate manufacturing costs, and support customer quotations. The role also involves coordination with Production, Quality, PPC, Purchase, and Tool Room teams to ensure cost-effective manufacturing and timely project completion.
Key Responsibilities
- Review customer drawings, specifications, and technical requirements for costing.
- Prepare Bill of Materials (BOM), Process Flow, Routing, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Prepare accurate product cost and manufacturing cost estimates for customer quotations.
- Identify opportunities for cost optimization without compromising quality.
- Work closely with Design, Production, Quality, PPC, Purchase, and Tool Room teams to ensure project costing & milestones are achieved.
- Participate in customer meetings, technical reviews, audits, and new project discussions related to costing.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives related to product design, manufacturing efficiency, quality, and cost.
Required Qualifications
- Diploma/B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering Or already experienced in costing department
- Certification in Product Design or CAD Software will be an added advantage.
Experience
- 3–10 years of experience in Sheet Metal Industry Or Costing department of metal related industry
- Experience in handling OEM customers and agriculture components will be preferred.
Technical Skills
- Knowledge of Sheet Metal Manufacturing Processes.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and SolidWorks.
- Hands-on experience in product costing and cost estimation
- Knowledge of Laser Cutting, CNC Machining, Press Shop, Bending, Welding, Fabrication, and Assembly Processes (Preferable)
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and GD&T.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.

Salary
₹5.00 – ₹10.00 LPA (Negotiable Based on experience, technical knowledge, and interview performance).
