This HR role is not a support function — it is a growth function. You won't inherit a system; you'll build one. About the role
As Pinit's first dedicated HR hire, you'll own the full people function — from sourcing and hiring across vastly different profiles (tech, creative, operations, and field staff) to ensuring our growing team is engaged, aligned, and performing. You will report directly to the founder and have a direct hand in shaping the culture and calibre of the company as it scales.
Mass hiring
- End-to-end sourcing and onboarding of field and operations staff across Hyderabad and future cities
- Build high-volume hiring pipelines that are fast, structured, and repeatable
- Create scalable onboarding SOPs that don't break under growth pressure
- Own documentation, background checks, and compliance for field-level hires
- Monitor and manage attrition proactively — spot patterns, act early
Niche & leadership hiring
- Source and close strong profiles for creative, tech, marketing, and product roles
- Write sharp, brand-aligned job descriptions that attract the right people
- Build a live talent bench and referral network across fashion, logistics, and consumer tech
- Own the full candidate experience — from first contact to offer to day one
- Use LinkedIn, Naukri, community networks, and direct outreach with intent
Day-to-day HR operations
- Build HR policies from scratch — attendance, leave, performance, conduct, and grievance frameworks
- Run structured onboarding for every hire: cultural, role-based, and operational ramp-up
- Manage payroll coordination, offer letters, contracts, and statutory compliance (PF, ESIC, etc.)
- Own performance review cycles — design the framework, run it consistently, close it with action
- Be the culture keeper: pulse checks, team engagement, recognition, and internal communication
- Resolve conflicts and manage sensitive conversations with discretion and fairness
- Maintain HR records and report on headcount, cost, attrition, and team health to the founder

What we're looking for
- 2–5 years of HR experience, with at least 1 year in a startup or high-growth environment
- Proven track record in both volume hiring (field/ops) and quality hiring (white-collar)
- Hands-on with compliance: PF, ESIC, labour law basics, offer and contract documentation
- Strong written communication — you'll write JDs, policies, and internal culture docs
- Structured thinker who can also move fast and stay adaptable
- Deeply empathetic, highly discreet, and genuinely invested in people
Strong bonus if you have
- Experience hiring for a D2C, fashion, or consumer experience brand
- Comfort with HRMS tools — Keka, Darwinbox, Zoho People, or similar
- Experience building HR from scratch in a 0→1 startup
- An active talent network in Hyderabad across creative, tech, and ops
- Understanding of managing field or last-mile workforce at scale

Pay: ₹35,000.00 - ₹45,000.00 per month
