Position: PGT Psychology Teacher

Reporting To: Principal / Academic Coordinator
Key Responsibilities
- Teach Psychology to students of Classes XI–XII as per CBSE curriculum.
- Prepare lesson plans, worksheets, assignments, and assessments.
- Conduct interactive classroom sessions that promote critical thinking and practical application of psychological concepts.
- Evaluate student performance through tests, projects, presentations, and examinations.
- Maintain academic records and student progress reports.
- Provide academic guidance and mentoring to students.
- Support students' emotional and behavioral development through basic counseling and guidance.
- Organize psychology-related activities, seminars, workshops, and awareness programs.
- Participate in parent-teacher meetings, school events, and faculty development programs.
- Ensure a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment.
Qualifications
- Master's Degree (M.A./M.Sc.) in Psychology from a recognized university.
- B.Ed. degree preferred.
- CTET/TET qualification (if applicable).
- Strong knowledge of CBSE curriculum and assessment practices.
Experience
- Minimum 2–5 years of teaching experience in a reputed school.
- Experience teaching senior secondary classes (XI–XII) preferred.
Skills Required
- Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
- Ability to counsel and guide adolescents.
- Strong lesson-planning and assessment skills.
- Proficiency in digital teaching tools and smart classroom technology.
- Teamwork, empathy, and student-centered teaching approach.
