Job Purpose
The Physical Education Teacher will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging physical education programs, developing students’ fitness and sporting abilities, promoting teamwork and discipline, and encouraging participation in various sports and physical activities.
Key Responsibilities
Physical Education & Training
- Plan and conduct age-appropriate physical education classes for students.
- Develop students’ physical fitness, coordination, stamina, strength, flexibility, and motor skills.
- Teach fundamental skills, rules, and techniques of various indoor and outdoor sports.
- Conduct regular fitness assessments and maintain students’ performance records.
Sports Activities
- Organize and supervise sports activities, competitions, tournaments, and inter-house events.
- Identify talented students and provide specialized coaching for competitive sports.
- Prepare school teams for inter-school, district, state, and other competitions.
- Accompany students to external tournaments and ensure their safety and discipline.
Student Development
- Promote sportsmanship, teamwork, leadership, discipline, and a healthy lifestyle.
- Motivate students to participate actively in physical activities.
- Encourage fair play, respect, and positive sporting behaviour.
- Provide appropriate support to students with different physical abilities and fitness levels.
Safety & Supervision
- Ensure proper safety procedures are followed during sports and physical activities.
- Inspect sports grounds and equipment regularly and report safety concerns.
- Maintain first-aid awareness and respond appropriately to minor sports-related injuries.
- Ensure students use sports equipment correctly and responsibly.
Sports Equipment & Facilities
- Maintain an inventory of sports equipment and ensure its proper storage and upkeep.
- Recommend the purchase or replacement of sports equipment as required.
- Ensure sports grounds and facilities are kept clean, organized, and safe.
Events & School Activities
- Plan and coordinate Annual Sports Day, Sports Week, fitness programmes, and other sporting events.
- Assist in organizing assemblies, celebrations, camps, and school activities involving physical fitness.
- Encourage student participation in extracurricular and co-curricular sports programmes.
Administrative Responsibilities
- Maintain attendance, assessment records, team lists, competition records, and achievement reports.
- Prepare reports on students’ sports performance and participation.
- Coordinate with class teachers, parents, school management, and other staff regarding students’ sports activities.
- Perform other duties assigned by the Principal or School Management.
Educational Qualification
Masters Degree in Physical Education (M. P. Ed.)
Experience:
Minimum Three Years of Experience Teaching Physical Education for Grades XI and XII in reputed CBSE Schools.

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
