Job Description – Shift In-Charge (AOS & LABSA 96)

Key Responsibilities
- Manage and supervise shift operations for AOS (Alpha Olefin Sulfonate) and LABSA 96 (Linear Alkyl Benzene Sulphonic Acid) production units.
- Ensure production targets are achieved safely, efficiently, and in compliance with quality standards.
- Monitor process parameters, equipment performance, and utility consumption to optimize plant operations.
- Coordinate with Quality, Maintenance, EHS, and Logistics teams for smooth production activities.
- Ensure adherence to SOPs, safety regulations, and environmental compliance requirements.
- Lead shift manpower, allocate responsibilities, and maintain discipline and productivity
- Investigate process deviations, equipment issues, and product quality concerns; implement corrective actions.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor's Degree/Diploma in Chemical Engineering or a related field.
- 7–8 years of experience in chemical manufacturing, with hands-on exposure to AOS and LABSA 96 production processes.
- Strong understanding of sulfonation, neutralization, process control, and plant safety practices.
- Experience in handling shift operations, troubleshooting process issues, and managing production teams.
- Good communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of EHS standards, ISO systems, and quality management practices.
- Maintain accurate production records, shift reports, and handover documentation. Preferred Candidate Profile
- Proven experience in continuous process plants.
- Ability to lead teams independently and make operational decisions during shifts.
- Familiarity with DCS/PLC-based plant operations and process monitoring system
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity, yield, and cost efficiency.
