We are looking for a skilled and proactive Fabrication Supervisor to oversee our shop floor fabrication operations. The ideal candidate will ensure quality, safety, and efficiency in metal fabrication processes while leading a team of welders, fitters, and technicians to meet production targets.
Key Responsibilities:-
Supervise daily fabrication activities including cutting, welding, bending, and assembly of metal components as per drawings/specifications. - Ensure production targets are met within timelines while maintaining quality standards.
Monitor and enforce safety protocols (PPE usage, machine safety, workplace hygiene) on the shop floor.
Allocate manpower, machines, and materials efficiently to avoid downtime.
Conduct quality checks and inspections to minimize rejection/rework.
Coordinate with Production, Quality, and Maintenance departments for smooth workflow.
Train and guide welders/fitters on best fabrication practices and new techniques.
Maintain daily production reports, attendance, and shift handover records.
Identify process improvement opportunities to boost productivity and reduce wastage.
Ensure compliance with company SOPs, ISO standards, and statutory safety norms.
Required Qualifications & Skills:
Diploma/ITI in Mechanical, Fabrication, or related field (B.Tech preferred but not mandatory). 2–3 years of hands-on experience in fabrication/welding supervision, preferably in automobile or heavy engineering manufacturing.
Strong knowledge of welding processes (MIG/TIG/Arc), sheet metal work, and fabrication drawings.
Good understanding of quality tools (GD&T, measuring instruments) is a plus.
Team management and leadership skills to handle shop-floor workforce.
Basic computer knowledge (MS Excel, production reporting).
Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
