Job Purpose
To manage day-to-day accounting and financial transactions of the plant, ensuring accurate bookkeeping, statutory compliance, inventory accounting, vendor payments, and financial reporting. The role requires hands-on experience in Tally and Oracle ERP for maintaining financial records and supporting plant operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Record and maintain all plant-related accounting transactions in Tally and Oracle ERP.
- Process vendor invoices, employee reimbursements, journal vouchers, and payment entries.
- Reconcile bank accounts, vendor ledgers, customer accounts, and general ledger balances.
- Maintain accurate records of inventory, raw materials, consumables, WIP, and finished goods in coordination with Stores and Production.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly MIS reports related to plant expenses and financial performance.
- Monitor budget utilization and assist in variance analysis against budgeted costs.
- Ensure timely processing of vendor payments and employee advances.
- Assist in monthly and annual financial closing activities.
- Support statutory compliance relating to GST, TDS, PF, ESIC, Professional Tax, and other applicable regulations.
- Coordinate with internal and external auditors by providing required documentation and schedules.
- Maintain fixed asset register and process asset capitalization/disposal entries.
- Ensure proper documentation and filing of accounting records as per company policies.
- Coordinate with Production, Procurement, Stores, HR, and Corporate Finance for smooth financial operations.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and ensure adherence to internal financial controls.
Educational Qualification
- Bachelor's Degree in Commerce (B.Com) – Mandatory
- M.Com / MBA (Finance) / CA Inter (Preferred)
Experience
- 2–5 years of experience in Plant Accounts, Manufacturing Accounts, or Factory Finance.
- Experience in manufacturing industries such as PPE, Footwear, Leather, Engineering, Chemicals, FMCG, or similar sectors will be preferred.
Technical Skills
- Strong working knowledge of Tally ERP/Tally Prime
- Hands-on experience in Oracle ERP (Financial Modules)
- MS Excel (Advanced functions, Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP)
- Knowledge of GST, TDS, statutory accounting, and financial reporting
- Understanding of inventory accounting and manufacturing cost accounting
