About Jevika & Joy’s World
Jevika & Joy’s World (JJW) is a kids-focused entertainment and character brand built around a growing universe of characters, stories, content, and experiences.
We are building JJW into a strong kids’ lifestyle brand, with merchandise playing a major role in that journey. We are looking for a Fashion Designer who can take complete ownership of JJW merchandise — from the first design idea to the final product delivered by the vendor.
This is not a role limited to creating designs. You will be responsible for taking the product from concept → design → tech pack → sampling → production → quality check → final delivery.
Role Overview
As a Fashion Designer – JJW Merchandise, you will conceptualize and develop apparel and merchandise collections for Jevika & Joy’s World.
You will work closely with the creative, marketing, production, printing and vendor teams to ensure that every product reflects the JJW brand and meets the required standards of design, fit, sizing, quality and finish.
The ideal candidate is someone who understands fashion, has strong visual taste, is detail-oriented and is comfortable taking ownership of the entire merchandise development process.
Key Responsibilities
1. Merchandise Design
- Develop creative and commercially viable merchandise designs for JJW.
- Design kids' apparel and other merchandise based on JJW characters, stories, themes and brand identity.
- Create graphics, prints, patterns, placements and artwork for merchandise.
- Explore new merchandise concepts, styles, fabrics and product ideas.
- Create collections around different themes, characters, occasions and campaigns.
- Ensure designs are attractive to both children and parents.
- Maintain consistency with JJW's visual identity and character guidelines.
2. Tech Packs & Product Development
- Prepare detailed tech packs for every product.
- Clearly communicate design specifications, measurements, materials, artwork placement, construction details and finishing requirements.
- Prepare size charts and measurement specifications.
- Define garment details such as fabric, trims, prints, embroidery, labels, tags and other components.
- Coordinate modifications based on sampling and production requirements.
- Maintain organized records of all product specifications and approved designs.
3. Sizing & Fit
- Develop appropriate sizing for JJW's target age groups.
- Prepare and maintain accurate size charts.
- Coordinate with vendors/manufacturers for measurements and fit samples.
- Review samples for fit, proportions and overall appearance.
- Identify sizing or construction issues and communicate corrections clearly.
- Ensure consistency in sizing across different products and collections.
4. Vendor & Production Coordination
- Coordinate directly with printing, embroidery, garment, manufacturing and other merchandise vendors.
- Share designs, tech packs and production specifications with vendors.
- Obtain and evaluate samples.
- Coordinate revisions until the product meets the required standard.
- Follow up on production timelines and deliverables.
- Troubleshoot production issues related to design, printing, sizing, materials or finishing.
- Coordinate with vendors to ensure final products match approved samples.
5. Quality Control
- Inspect samples and final products for design accuracy, sizing, print quality, colour, placement, finishing and overall appearance.
- Ensure production follows approved designs and specifications.
- Identify defects or deviations and coordinate corrective action with vendors.
- Maintain quality standards across all JJW merchandise.
6. End-to-End Merchandise Ownership
You will be expected to take full ownership of assigned merchandise categories and products.
This includes:
Concept → Moodboard → Design → Artwork → Tech Pack → Size Chart → Vendor Brief → Sampling → Corrections → Production → Quality Check → Final Delivery
You should be comfortable managing multiple products simultaneously and ensuring that nothing falls through the cracks.

- Strong understanding of fashion and apparel design.
