We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Senior PHP Developer to join our development team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and maintaining scalable web applications and backend services. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, mentor junior developers, and contribute to architectural decisions that drive product innovation and performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain high-quality PHP applications and APIs.
- Write clean, efficient, secure, and well-documented code following industry best practices.
- Architect scalable backend systems and database structures.
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, QA engineers, and other developers to deliver new features.
- Review code, provide technical guidance, and mentor junior team members.
- Optimize application performance, reliability, and scalability.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues.
- Implement and maintain RESTful APIs and third-party integrations.
- Participate in sprint planning, estimation, and technical discussions.
- Ensure compliance with security, coding, and development standards.
- Stay updated with emerging technologies and recommend improvements to existing systems.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
- 5+ years of professional experience in PHP development.
- Strong expertise in PHP 7/8 and object-oriented programming.
- Experience with PHP frameworks such as Laravel, Symfony, or CodeIgniter.
- Proficiency in MySQL, PostgreSQL, or other relational databases.
- Strong understanding of REST APIs, web services, and API security.
- Experience with Git and modern version control workflows.
- Knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and frontend integration.
- Familiarity with Linux server environments and deployment processes.
- Experience with caching technologies such as Redis or Memcached.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, and containerized deployments.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
