Job Description: Rubber Supervisor / Rubber Molding Supervisor Position Overview: We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Rubber Supervisor to oversee daily rubber compounding, molding, and production operations. The ideal candidate will manage shop floor activities, ensure strict adherence to quality and safety standards, and optimize output while minimizing wastage. Key Responsibilities Production & Operations Management: Oversee end-to-end rubber manufacturing processes, including compounding, mixing, compression/injection molding, and vulcanization. Quality Control: Monitor product dimensions, hardness (durometer), and physical properties to ensure they meet strict customer and drawing specifications. Manpower Deployment: Allocate daily shifts, assign tasks to machine operators, and supervise overall workforce productivity on the shop floor. Machine Maintenance: Coordinate routine preventive maintenance for hydraulic presses, mixing mills, and rubber extruders to avoid unexpected downtime. Safety & Compliance: Ensure all workers use proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and adhere to plant safety guidelines, especially regarding heat and chemical handling. Data & Reporting: Maintain daily production logs, track material consumption, and report shift output, rejections, and downtime to the plant manager. Requirements & Qualifications Education: Diploma in Polymer Technology, Rubber Technology, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent practical experience. Experience: 3 to 6 years of hands-on supervisory experience in a rubber manufacturing or automotive parts molding plant. Technical Skills: Deep knowledge of rubber compounds (NR, EPDM, NBR, Silicone), mold setting, curing cycles, and defect troubleshooting (flash, porosity, under-cure). Soft Skills: Strong leadership, shift management, and problem-solving abilities.
