Job Summary:
The Input Producer (Assignment) is responsible for sourcing, verifying, and coordinating news stories and assignments for live broadcasts, news bulletins, and special programs. This role involves closely working with reporters, field teams, and editorial staff to ensure timely and accurate news coverage.
Key Responsibilities:
Identify and assign news stories based on current events, audience interest, and editorial priorities.
Coordinate with reporters, field teams, and correspondents to gather information, footage, and updates.
Verify the authenticity and accuracy of news stories and visuals before broadcast.
Maintain a database of ongoing and upcoming stories, ensuring deadlines are met.
Provide clear instructions to field teams regarding coverage requirements, angles, and deadlines.
Collaborate with the editorial team to develop story angles and coverage plans.
Monitor news feeds, social media, and other sources for breaking news opportunities.
Ensure all content complies with journalistic standards, legal requirements, and broadcasting policies.
Keep track of live reports, interviews, and segment timings during broadcasts.
Assist in preparing story scripts, summaries, and briefs for anchors and on-air talent.
Manage and troubleshoot any issues related to news assignments during live or recorded segments.
Maintain good relationships with news sources, agencies, and field teams.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Mass Communication, Media Studies, or related field.
Proven experience in news assignment, reporting, or production.
Strong understanding of current affairs, media ethics, and journalistic standards.
Excellent communication, coordination, and organizational skills.
Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple assignments simultaneously.
Familiarity with newsroom software, social media monitoring tools, and broadcast equipment.
Proactive, detail-oriented, and a quick thinker.
Pay: ₹10,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
