HEAD CHEF
About Prani:
A one-of-its-kind, Prani is the first animal-based outdoor education centre in
India. Since its launch in 2017, Prani has emerged as a leading force in experiential
education, firmly believing in the transformative power of integrating the outdoors
into learning. Having collaborated with over 500 educational institutions and
engaging with numerous young adults everyday, we have successfully established
a benchmark for ethical outdoor behaviour, responsible animal handling,
and the promotion of environmental literacy. Our work revolves around a diverse
range of species, including exotic and domestic animals, as well as plants, each serving as a profound teacher, inspiring and motivating us to foster positive change. We are proud to be
pioneers in introducing outdoor learning to children, laying the foundation for a lifelong coexistence with the natural world.
Collaboration is at the heart of our approach, and we actively partner with
various organisations. Together, we undertake initiatives such as captive
management, rescuing exotic, domestic, and urban wildlife, mitigating snake-bite
incidents, providing training and support to farmers, undertaking habitat
construction projects, and establishing captive management centres.
With a dedicated team and unwavering commitment to outdoor education,
we strive to make a positive impact on individuals, communities, and the
environment as a whole.
