JOB SUMMARY
We are seeking a hardworking, reliable Banquet Attendant to join the Banquet Desk at Hotel Le Royal Park. The successful candidate will provide essential support during banquet events, focusing on cleaning, table service, and maintaining banquet spaces to ensure smooth operations and exceptional guest experiences for weddings, corporate events, and special functions.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Cleaning & Maintenance:
- Clear tables during and after events (remove dishes, glassware, cutlery)
- Clean and sanitize banquet halls, service stations, and work areas
- Wash, polish, and return glassware, silverware, and china
- Sweep, mop, and vacuum banquet floors as needed
- Maintain cleanliness of restrooms during events
- Remove trash and dispose of waste properly
Event Setup Support:
- Assist with basic setup (unfold napkins, place basic table items)
- Carry and position chairs, tables, and equipment using carts/trolleys
- Stock service stations with water, ice, napkins, and condiments
- Refill water stations and ice buckets during events
- Assist with tablelinen setup under supervision
Event Service Support:
- Support servers during events by clearing plates promptly
- Assist with guest seating guidance when needed
- Respond to service staff requests for supplies or assistance
- Monitor service areas and maintain cleanliness throughout events
Breakdown Duties:
- Break down event setup after functions complete
- Pack and store tables, chairs, and equipment properly
- Sort and count linens, china, glassware, and silverware
- Report damaged or missing items to supervisor
- Restore banquet spaces to original condition
General Duties:
- Follow instructions from Banquet Captain and Associate
- Work efficiently as part of a team during busy events
- Maintain professional appearance and positive attitude
- Follow health, safety, and hygiene protocols
- Perform other duties as assigned by management
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS
Essential:
- 0–1 year of experience in hospitality, cleaning, or banquet service (entry-level acceptable)
- Ability to work efficiently in fast-paced environment
- Strong physical stamina (ability to lift up to 15–20 kg, stand for long periods)
- Willingness to perform manual labor and cleaning tasks
- Professional appearance and grooming standards
- Fluency in Tamil and English or Hindi.
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Team player with positive, hardworking attitude
- Reliability and punctuality
Preferred:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Certificate in Hospitality or Food & Beverage Service
- Previous experience in hotel banquet, restaurant, or cleaning services
- Knowledge of basic cleaning chemicals and safety procedures
