International Tour Operations Manager
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and passionate International Tour Operations Manager to oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of international tour packages. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing end-to-end tour operations, coordinating with global suppliers, ensuring seamless travel experiences, and maintaining high standards of customer satisfaction, operational efficiency, and service quality.
The role also involves handling outbound and inbound travel operations, developing itineraries, managing travel logistics, and supporting clients throughout their travel journey. Candidates with strong experience in international tour operations and outbound travel packages are highly encouraged to apply.
A minimum of 2+ years of experience in the Travel & Tourism industry is mandatory for this role.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, coordinate, and execute international tour packages from booking to tour completion
- Handle outbound and inbound tour operations efficiently
- Coordinate with overseas suppliers including DMCs, airlines, hotels, transport providers, guides, and visa agencies
- Negotiate contracts, rates, and service agreements with travel partners and vendors
- Prepare tour itineraries, costing sheets, travel plans, and operational checklists
- Manage visa processing, travel documentation, insurance, and compliance requirements
- Monitor ongoing tour operations and resolve issues or emergencies promptly
- Maintain strong relationships with airlines, foreign agents, hotels, guides, and transport partners
- Ensure smooth execution of daily tour itineraries based on guest requirements
- Work closely with sales and marketing teams for package development and promotional activities
- Handle customer queries professionally with an aim to meet and exceed client expectations
- Conduct post-tour evaluations, collect feedback, and implement operational improvements
- Ensure adherence to company SOPs, timelines, budgets, and service standards
- Stay updated with international travel trends, destination knowledge, and tourism regulations
- Train and supervise tour coordinators and operations staff when required
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Travel & Tourism, Hospitality, Business Administration, or a related field
- Minimum 2 years of experience in international tour operations or travel management
- Strong knowledge of international destinations, travel logistics, and tourism operations
- Experience handling outbound international tour packages
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and vendor management skills
- Strong problem-solving and multitasking abilities
- Ability to manage multiple tour operations simultaneously
- Proficiency in MS Excel, booking systems, and travel management software
- Strong leadership and team coordination skills
- Willingness to travel internationally when required
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in Group Tours, MICE, or Luxury Travel Operations
- Knowledge of visa procedures for multiple countries
- Multilingual communication skills will be an added advantage
