Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Lab Technician to perform technical laboratory duties and assist in the preparation, testing, and analysis of samples. The successful candidate will ensure compliance with safety standards, maintain lab equipment, and accurately record data to support ongoing research or diagnostic work.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collect, label, and prepare samples (blood, urine, tissue, chemical substances, etc.) for analysis.
- Conduct laboratory tests following standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Operate and maintain laboratory equipment (e.g., microscopes, centrifuges, spectrophotometers).
- Record and analyze data accurately; prepare reports and documentation.
- Maintain cleanliness and sterility in the lab environment.
- Assist in inventory control of lab supplies and reagents.
- Ensure adherence to health and safety protocols at all times.
- Calibrate and troubleshoot laboratory instruments as needed.
- Dispose of hazardous waste and biohazard materials according to regulations.
- Collaborate with other lab staff, researchers, or healthcare professionals.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Medical Laboratory Technology, Chemistry, Biology, or related field.
