The Role
We are seeking an Entry-Level Desktop Support Engineer. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring our systems and hardware run smoothly, providing timely technical assistance, and maintaining a high level of user satisfaction. Key Responsibilities
- Provide hands-on technical support for all desktop hardware, software, and peripheral devices.
- Install, configure, and maintain operating systems (Windows, macOS) and various software applications.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues for both our team and clients, including network connectivity problems, hardware failures, and software errors.
- Assist with basic network troubleshooting and connectivity issues for end-users.
- Perform regular system maintenance, updates, and upgrades to ensure optimal performance.
- Assist with the setup of new workstations and user accounts.
- Document technical procedures and solutions to build a comprehensive knowledge base.
Requirements
- 6 months -3 years of experience in a desktop support or IT-related role.
- Strong knowledge of computer hardware components and peripherals.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting Windows and/or macOS operating systems.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and a strong attention to detail.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- A diploma or degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field is a plus.
