Job Summary
We are looking for a skilled and proactive EDP / ERP & IT Incharge to support our upcoming manufacturing unit in Surat. The role involves managing ERP systems, IT infrastructure, data entry operations, and MIS reporting across all plant functions. The candidate will play a key role in building a structured, data-driven, and digitally enabled manufacturing environment.
You will work closely with production, stores, purchase, sales, dispatch, quality, accounts, DEOs, ERP vendors, and IT service providers to ensure smooth system operations and accurate data flow across departments.
Key ResponsibilitiesERP / Software Management
- Support implementation and daily operations of ERP systems across production, stores, purchase, sales, dispatch, quality, accounts, and admin departments
- Coordinate with ERP/software vendors for configuration, testing, issue resolution, and report customization
- Maintain and update master data (items, customers, vendors, machines, process data, user access, etc.)
- Ensure smooth system usage across departments and resolve user issues
Data & MIS Management
- Supervise and guide Data Entry Operators (DEOs) for accurate and timely data entry
- Monitor production, inventory, dispatch, purchase, and quality data for completeness and accuracy
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly MIS reports for management
- Support dashboard creation for production, stock, efficiency, wastage, dispatch, and machine performance
IT Infrastructure Management
- Manage IT infrastructure including computers, printers, scanners, networking, internet, CCTV, barcode systems, and related hardware
- Coordinate with IT vendors, hardware service providers, and networking teams
- Ensure system uptime, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance
Data Security & System Control
- Manage data backups, user access control, and system security
- Maintain IT asset records and ensure proper usage of IT resources
- Support digitization of manual processes and workflow automation
Training & Coordination
- Train plant users and DEOs on ERP and data entry processes
- Coordinate between management, plant teams, and vendors for smooth execution
- Ensure adherence to data discipline and reporting timelines
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 3–8 years of experience in EDP, ERP support, IT coordination, or MIS roles
- Experience in manufacturing industry preferred (Textiles, Packaging, Plastics, Woven Sacks, FIBC, etc.)
- Strong knowledge of Excel and MIS reporting
- Familiarity with ERP systems and manufacturing workflows
- Basic understanding of IT hardware, networking, printers, scanners, and CCTV systems
- Ability to handle data entry teams and train users
Preferred Skills
- ERP implementation or ERP support experience
- Experience with barcode-based tracking or inventory systems
- Knowledge of Excel dashboards, Power BI, or reporting tools
- Exposure to production tracking and dispatch systems
- Strong coordination with software and IT vendors
