We are seeking a technically sound, highly organized Sourcing Head to anchor our global vendor network and ensure our supply chain matches our rapid market expansion.
Role Overview
As the Sourcing Head, you will be the gatekeeper of our product quality and supply chain punctuality. This is a highly technical role that requires a blend of engineering acumen, blueprint interpretation, data management, and sharp global negotiation skills.
You will travel extensively across various global manufacturing hubs to identify, audit, evaluate, and onboard vendors capable of manufacturing premium hardware components to our exact engineering specifications and tight delivery timelines.
Key Responsibilities
- Global Vendor Scouting & Audit: Travel extensively worldwide to identify and evaluate world-class OEMs and manufacturers capable of meeting the organization’s strict quality, cost, and capacity requirements.
- Technical Blueprint Interpretation: Read, interpret, and analyze complex technical engineering drawings, manufacturing tolerances, and material specifications to ensure alignment with prospective vendors.
- Quality & Punctuality Assurance: Establish strict Service Level Agreements (SLAs) with global partners regarding production quality and strict delivery timelines to eliminate supply chain bottlenecks.
- Data Management & Costing: Utilize Advanced Microsoft Excel to maintain comprehensive costing sheets, supplier matrices, total cost of ownership (TCO) models, and inventory forecasting.
- Commercial Negotiation: Navigate international supplier contracts, handle price negotiations, understand duty structures, and optimize shipping/incoterms alongside the logistics team.
- Lifecycle Management: Monitor ongoing vendor performance metrics, conduct regular factory audits, and manage relationship health to ensure a resilient supply chain.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Experience: 5+ years of solid experience in technical sourcing, supplier development, or vendor quality management.
- Technical Background (Mandatory): Prior exposure in a technical/engineering environment. Backgrounds in Automobiles (Auto-components), Machine Tools, Heavy Machinery, or Sanitaryware are highly preferred.
- Blueprint Reading (Mandatory): Exceptional ability to read and interpret mechanical/technical engineering drawings and specifications.
- Data & Software Proficiency (Mandatory): Expert-level mastery of Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables, Costing formulas) for supply chain metrics and data analysis.
- Global Mobility: Must possess a valid passport and the willingness/flexibility to travel internationally at short notice.
- Communication Skills: Strong English communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to navigate diverse cultural business environments effectively.
