Job Description: Driver – Delivery Van
We are hiring a reliable and responsible Delivery Van Driver for our business.
Job Role:
The driver will be responsible for safely driving the company delivery van, delivering goods/materials to customers and sites, handling loading and unloading support, maintaining vehicle cleanliness, and ensuring timely delivery as per company instructions.
Responsibilities:
- Drive the delivery van safely and responsibly.
- Deliver goods/materials to customers, vendors, and work sites on time.
- Support loading and unloading of materials when required.
- Check goods before delivery and ensure proper handover.
- Maintain delivery records, challans, bills, and receipts.
- Keep the vehicle clean and in good condition.
- Inform the office immediately about any vehicle issue, delay, accident, or delivery problem.
- Follow traffic rules and company instructions.
- Maintain polite and professional behaviour with customers and staff.
Requirements:
- Valid driving license for commercial/light motor vehicle.
- Good driving experience, preferably with delivery van or commercial vehicle.
- Knowledge of local routes and nearby areas.
- Basic understanding of delivery documents.
- Honest, punctual, disciplined, and hardworking.
- Ability to handle materials carefully.
- Mobile phone usage for calls, WhatsApp, and location sharing.
