Job Description
We are seeking a Trainee – Stores to support day-to-day stores and inventory operations. The candidate will be responsible for maintaining stock records, issuing materials, receiving goods, and ensuring proper documentation and inventory control.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in receiving, storing, and issuing materials as per company procedures.
- Maintain stock registers and inventory records accurately.
- Verify materials received against purchase orders and delivery challans.
- Ensure proper labeling and storage of materials.
- Perform material issuance to various departments and maintain issue records.
- Update inventory details in Excel, ERP, or inventory management software.
- Maintain stores documentation and filing systems.
- Assist in periodic stock verification and inventory audits.
- Monitor stock levels and report shortages or discrepancies.
- Coordinate with Purchase, Production, Quality Control, and Accounts departments.
- Ensure housekeeping and proper arrangement of materials in the stores area.
- Follow company policies, safety guidelines, and documentation practices.
Required Skills
- Basic knowledge of MS Excel, Word, and computer applications.
- Good record-keeping and data entry skills.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Good communication and coordination abilities.
- Ability to learn ERP or inventory management software.
- Basic knowledge of inventory and warehouse operations will be an added advantage.
