Job Summary
The Forex Manager is responsible for managing foreign currency transactions, and ensuring cost-effective currency exchange solutions for the travel company. This role involves monitoring international currency markets, advising on pricing strategies for travel packages, and coordinating with internal teams and external financial institutions to support the company’s global operations and customer transactions.
Key Responsibilities
Currency Exchange Management
· Oversee the buying and selling of foreign currencies to facilitate international payments for suppliers, vendors, and partners (e.g., hotels, airlines, tour operators).
· Ensure competitive exchange rates are offered to customers purchasing travel packages or making payments in foreign currencies.
Customer Transactions
· Manage forex services for customers, such as currency exchange for travel purposes or handling multi-currency payments.
· Liaise with banks, forex brokers, and financial institutions to secure favorable exchange rates and terms.
· Negotiate contracts with third-party forex service providers as needed.
Team Coordination
· Stay updated on international forex regulations and ensure all transactions adhere to local and global legal standards.
· Maintain accurate records of all forex dealings for audits and regulatory reporting.
Qualifications
· Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in foreign exchange management, preferably in the travel, tourism, or hospitality industry.
Skills:
· Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
