Role Overview
We are looking for a detail-oriented Interior Designer (Draftsman) to bridge the gap between creative concepts and technical execution. In this role, you will be responsible for transforming design sketches and mood boards into precise technical drawings, blueprints, and 3D models. You aren’t just "drawing lines"; you are ensuring that every millimetre of a design is functional, buildable, and aesthetically aligned with our vision.
Key Responsibilities
- Technical Documentation: Produce comprehensive sets of construction drawings, including floor plans, elevations, sections, reflected ceiling plans (RCP), and electrical/plumbing layouts.
- Millwork & Joinery: Create highly detailed shop drawings for custom furniture, cabinetry, and bespoke architectural features.
- 3D Visualization: Develop 3D models and renderings to help clients and contractors visualize the final space.
- Material Specifications: Assist in selecting finishes and fixtures, ensuring all technical specs are accurately documented in the "Schedule of Finishes."
- Site Surveys: Conduct on-site measurements and "as-built" surveys to ensure drawing accuracy before production begins.
- Coordination: Collaborate with architects, engineers, and MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) consultants to integrate technical requirements into the interior set.
- Quality Control: Review drawings for compliance with building codes, ADA standards, and safety regulations.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Software Mastery: Expert-level proficiency in AutoCAD (2D) and SketchUp or Revit. Proficiency in rendering software (e.g., V-Ray, Enscape, or Lumion) is a major plus.
- Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of construction methods, materials, and the "anatomy" of furniture and cabinetry.
- Detail Obsession: A passion for precision—you’re the person who catches a 5mm discrepancy before it hits the site.
- Education: Degree or Diploma in Interior Design, Architecture, or Draughtsmanship.
- Communication: Ability to explain technical constraints to the creative team and design intent to the construction team.
What Success Looks Like "Success in this role means that when a contractor picks up your drawing set, they have zero questions. Your documentation is the 'source of truth' that allows a project to move from paper to reality without costly errors or delays."
Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
