Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate, dedicated, and qualified English Teacher to inspire students and foster a love for the English language and literature. The ideal candidate will create engaging lesson plans, promote critical thinking, and help students develop strong reading, writing, listening, and speaking skills in a positive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, prepare, and deliver effective English lessons aligned with the school curriculum.
- Teach grammar, vocabulary, reading comprehension, writing, literature, and communication skills.
- Assess, evaluate, and monitor students’ academic progress through tests, assignments, and classroom activities.
- Provide constructive feedback to support students’ learning and improvement.
- Maintain discipline and create a safe, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment.
- Prepare lesson plans, worksheets, assessments, and teaching materials.
- Encourage participation in debates, public speaking, creative writing, and literary activities.
- Maintain accurate student attendance and academic records.
- Communicate regularly with parents regarding student progress and concerns.
- Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, school events, and professional development programs.
- Follow school policies and uphold professional and ethical standards.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in English or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- B.Ed. or equivalent teaching qualification.
- Strong command of spoken and written English.
- Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
- Proficiency in using educational technology and digital teaching tools is an advantage.
Experience
- Freshers with strong subject knowledge may apply.
- 2–6 years of teaching experience in a school is preferred.
