Job Title: HR Head – Construction Site

Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced HR Head to lead and manage all human resource functions at the construction site. The ideal candidate will oversee recruitment, employee relations, statutory compliance, payroll coordination, labor management, and HR operations while ensuring a productive and compliant work environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end recruitment for site staff, engineers, supervisors, skilled and unskilled labor.
- Develop and implement HR policies, procedures, and best practices.
- Manage employee onboarding, induction, and exit formalities.
- Handle attendance, leave management, payroll inputs, and employee records.
- Ensure compliance with labor laws, statutory regulations, and company policies.
- Coordinate with contractors and subcontractors regarding manpower deployment and compliance.
- Address employee grievances and maintain healthy industrial relations.
- Monitor employee performance and support performance appraisal processes.
- Organize employee engagement, welfare, and retention initiatives.
- Liaise with government authorities for labor-related matters when required.
- Maintain HR MIS, documentation, and statutory reports.
- Support management in workforce planning and budgeting.
Required Qualifications
- MBA/PGDM in Human Resources or Master's degree in HR/Personnel Management.
- Bachelor's degree from a recognized university.
Experience
- 8–15 years of HR experience, preferably in the construction, infrastructure, EPC, or real estate industry.
- Experience managing site-based HR operations and labor workforce.
- Strong knowledge of Indian labor laws and statutory compliances.
Required Skills
- Excellent recruitment and manpower planning skills.
- Strong knowledge of labor legislation, PF, ESIC, CLRA, and other statutory requirements.
- Experience handling contract labor and industrial relations.
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office and HRMS software.
- Ability to work independently in a site environment.
Preferred Candidate Profile
- Experience working on large construction or infrastructure projects.
- Ability to manage a diverse workforce in remote or project-site locations.
- Strong problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills.
- Willingness to relocate or work at the project site.
